Timanous welcomes Mark O’Connor as our new Facilities Manager and Head of Woodshop Activity
We’re thrilled to announce the hiring of Mark O’Connor as our new Facilities Manager and Head of Woodshop. Mark will start on April 5th, 2021. He will be working closely with longtime Facilities Manager Robert Blake for this year as Robert transitions towards retirement after a long and distinguished tenure at Timanous. We look forward to recognizing Robert later this year. Mark grew up in Maine, attended the University of Vermont, and now lives nearby in Harrison, Maine with his spouse and three children. Mark’s varied background as a teacher, arborist, carpenter, and maintenance worker at a hunting and fishing camp in northern Maine, as well as his enthusiasm for the summer camp setting, make him an ideal hire. “I am excited to learn and become part of the rich traditions at Timanous. Helping to preserve and maintain the camp is an opportunity and challenge I can't wait to begin. I am excited to work with the campers on the shores of Panther Pond during the summer - there is no more wonderful setting I can imagine”, says Mark. Please join us in welcoming Mark to Timanous.
