Giving to Timanous

Thank you.

Thanks to the generosity of alumni, family, friends, and other supporters to the Second Century Campaign, Timanous was able to make a seamless transition to a nonprofit, establish a campership endowment, and provide for camp's financial security.

Your gift will help Timanous expand access to a greater number of boys and families and help camp thrive into its second century.

  • Timanous Fund: unrestricted gifts for camp's financial resilience and strategic capital projects
  • Jake Congleton Fund: to support Timanous staff with a demonstrated financial need primarily, but not exclusively, through awards for educational assistance

Planned Giving

Timanous accepts bequests through our planned giving program, the Old Chief Timanous Society. Donors interested in this option should contact us to set up a discussion with a Trustee. We are happy to assist you, along with your attorney and financial advisor, in making provision for Timanous in your estate plan.

The Al Furniss Legacy

As some of the elders in our community will remember, Al Furniss was a beloved counselor at Timanous in the summer of 1968, who died tragically in a motorcycle accident on his way home after camp. A scholarship fund in his name was founded immediately thereafter. In 2019, on the 50th anniversary of his death and the fund’s inception, there was a commemoration of Al and the thousands of donors who contributed to the fund, as well as the hundreds of boys who received its support. A plaque now proudly hangs in our Barn in honor of the Al Furniss Scholarship Fund.
