Dear Members of the Timanous Family,

We know Timanous is a special place where boys can thrive and grow into responsible citizens, future leaders and compassionate men. In this extraordinary year, when camp, school and so many formative social connections for children have been disrupted by the coronavirus, our role as a place where boys unplug and connect has never been more important.

We are working hard to open safely next summer and are counting down the days until everyone will reunite at Timanous in June. While the financial impact of camp closing in 2020 remains significant, we are committed to expanding our campership program. The ability to serve boys from all backgrounds is critical to our goal of broadening the diversity of our camper and counselor community. Our purpose is also deepened by the social consciousness of this moment, and we are inspired to fulfill our ongoing commitment to enroll campers of color and do more to foster a fully equitable and inclusive community for all.

These efforts will be supported primarily by the Annual Fund for Camperships, which provides the bulk of our tuition assistance. This is our only direct letter appeal for donations to the Fund. Here we continue a tradition established by Johnny Suitor and Jake Congleton over 60 years ago and carried forward most recently by Dave and Linda Suitor.

Helping families provide this experience for their sons is one of our most worthwhile undertakings. Please consider a year-end gift to the Annual Fund for this important summer.
