Timanous welcomes Heidi Krieger as our Office Manager and Family Liaison We are pleased to announce Heidi's hiring. In addition to working throughout the offseason to help keep the Timanous ship sailing smoothly, Heidi will work closely with our summer staff in the office while at camp. Heidi has been working with or on behalf of children and youth of all ages for most of her career. One of her greatest joys and privileges was serving as the Director/ED of Camp To Belong Maine for over 12 years. Camp To Belong reunites siblings separated by foster care for a week at summer camp. This week provides these brothers and sisters with the chance to be kids and form memories that will last a lifetime. She comes to us after 6 years in the Brunswick School Department working in special education, primarily with students needing support due to behavior challenges. She is excited to make this shift back to youth camping and is thrilled to become part of the Timanous team. In her time off, she enjoys spending time with family, friends and her cat, Georgie as well as working on various creative projects. Welcome, Heidi! Dear Timanous Family,
We are pleased to share two reports with you. The first is our 2021 Annual Report. It illustrates our successful recovery from the pandemic-related closure in 2020 as well as the completion of the Second Century Campaign under the banner of Rise, Camp Timanous. We are truly thankful for the broad and generous support of our extended family, and the strong financial position we find ourselves in. We hope you will take some time to read and enjoy this recognition of our vibrancy and tremendous good fortune. As powerful as our 2021 Annual Report is, it only tells part of our strength and forward momentum. We are equally energized about the exciting future we have charted with our first strategic plan, entitled Tradition and Stewardship, 2022-2026. In true Timanous spirit, this plan is the result of a community effort that garnered input and feedback from alumni, current parents and camp staff, as well as board and director participation. Major goals of the plan include investing in the quality and continuity of our staff, diversifying our community, investing in our infrastructure, and ensuring respectful stewardship of our cherished camp. You can review the plan in more detail at timanous.org/plan. Thank you to those who took the time to contribute to focus group meetings, providing valuable insights to the planning process. We look forward to celebrating all of these positive developments with you at our 105th Anniversary Reunion this August 12th-14th. You can register beginning on March 1st at timanous.org/105; we do hope you will join us! Sincerely, |
